My client is a thriving business that has become an industry leader within the IT sector. They have been operating for over 15 years, employ over 200 staff and have annual revenues in the multi millions. Due to continued expansion they are now looking to recruit a Trainee Sales Account Manager to join their vibrant team based in Harrogate.

 

Role responsibilities:

  • Responding to incoming customer enquiries over the phone and via email
  • Managing your own set of business accounts on a daily basis
  • Proactively contacting previous and potential customers over the phone
  • Learning the IT product range and becoming an expert with computer hardware and components
  • Working proactively with team members as well as on your own initiative

 

Essential requirements:

  • Any sales experience would be beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided
  • Must be a confident individual and comfortable engaging over the phone
  • Not phased by working to targets and some KPIs (although you would not be micromanaged!)
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment and juggle multiple business orders simultaneously
  • Strong numerical experience as you will be calculating customer pricing
  • Having an interest in computer hardware would help!
  • Self-motivated and resilient
  • Confident, professional manner
  • A happy and relaxed attitude
  • Enjoy working in a busy and energetic environment

  • Base salary starting from £20k to £25k depending on experience
  • Realistic, achievable commission structure with a strong OTE of around £40k
