My client is a thriving global business that has become an industry leader within the IT sector. They have been operating for over 15 years, employ over 260 staff and have annual revenues in the multi millions. Due to continued expansion, they are now looking to recruit a Sales & Marketing Lead Executive to join their team based in Harrogate on a full-time basis.

 

Role responsibilities:

  • Ensure all sales opportunities coming into the business are forwarded and followed up by the appropriate sales team
  • Updating the CRM with new sales lead activity
  • Research incoming sales leads to establish internal customer account owner, which sales team the lead falls under and updating the CRM system with relevant background information
  • Follow up on sales leads passed over from the marketing team via an outbound call or email
  • Calling customers, ensuring their details are correct, identifying sales opportunities and inputting new customer details on the system
  • Updating the customer CRM system, ensuring all details are correct and customer activity is correctly logged
  • Conducting follow up calls to ensure customers have received their products and building strong client relationships
  • Setting up new business sales meetings and appointments for the sales team
  • Managing web orders and queries and generating and nurturing website and marketing leads for the sales teams
  • Checking, inputting and amending orders to ensure they’re fit for purpose for customers
  • Sourcing products where required and submitting request to the purchasing team
  • Creating email templates to follow up with customer enquiries
  • Monthly lead reporting / tracking
  • Sending product quote enquiries to the relevant team
  • Sending product return enquiries to the relevant team
  • Assisting the Marketing Manager with ad hoc tasks

 

Candidate requirements:

  • Must be very comfortable engaging with customer over the phone and via video calls when required
  • Ability to make outbound calls to potential customers that have shown an interest in purchasing products to uncover a genuine sales opportunity
  • Prior telephone sales experience would be great but not essential as long as you’re very confident speaking over the phone
  • Marketing background would be desirable but again not essential
  • Tenacious approach to work, able to multi-task within a high-pressure environment
  • Skilled in key Microsoft packages including Word and Excel
  • Interest in the IT industry would be beneficial
  • Extremely organised and structured, able to work on complex projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently and professionally liaise with customers and internal departments
  • Reliable team player that’s self-motivated to work on own initiative

 

What’s on offer:

  • Competitive salary ranging from £23,000 to £25,000 per annum depending on experience
